Tired Eyes Kingdom
Coming from Istanbul, Tel Aviv and Augsburg the origins of all three members of tired eyes could not be further apart from one another, which makes their meeting grounds even more obscure as they first started to make music together in Bochum Germany. However, the band and their sound are post territorial – in the best sense – and in this respect a guiding example for artistic exchange processes in times when others build walls.

Their music can only develop when the protagonists get lost in their sound for days and nights until it is freed from attributions and causal ambitions.

Tired Eyes are children of our time -but not good children. They are not concerned with taking up the contemporary music one-on-one or joining the ranks of the zeitgeist of the contemporaries. With stubborn willfulness, they deconstruct impressions from what is shimmering around them. That‘s the reason why you have to think of a band like Mount Kimbie, Lali Puna, Micachu, and the Shapes and Deerhunter.

Now, a permanently peeling snake is anything but a beautiful playmate, yet exactly therein lays the uniqueness of Tired Eyes Kingdom, they look for change never afraid to switch a song to play mind tricks and conduct a full 180 flip on melody – it’s just then in the fragile moments of a pop song when you think you know what’s coming Tired Eyes pull the carpet right under your feet, however instead of falling you find yourself standing shaking the dust off your pants looking both ways and keep on dancing.

Dhresen
